Word Finder helps players find valid words quickly, without flipping through a physical dictionary or scrolling through unreliable forum lists. Filter by length, known letters, position, and excluded letters, and get accurate results instantly.
The tool is completely free to use and requires no sign up or download.
Who Maintains This Site
WordsFindr is run by a small, focused team rather than a large editorial operation. That’s a deliberate choice: it means every word list, tool update, and guide gets reviewed by the same people who built the site, rather than passed through a large rotating staff.
Word lists are checked against multiple open, publicly available sources and re-verified on a regular cycle, most recently July 2026. When something looks wrong, corrections go through a manual review rather than an automated overwrite, since a single bad entry in a word-length dictionary affects every player who searches that pattern afterward.
Found a word that seems missing or incorrect? Our contact page takes reports directly, and each one gets checked by hand against the source lists before any change is made.
How It Works
Our database combines six independently sourced word lists covering Wordle guesses, Wordle answers, Scrabble-style US and UK play, and Words With Friends style entries. Search by pattern, exclude letters you know are wrong, and filter by exact word length across our 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 letter tools.
Independence and Accuracy
Word Finder is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Wordle’s publisher, Hasbro, Collins, or Zynga. Our lists are built from open, publicly available word data, not scraped or auto-generated, and reviewed on a set schedule rather than left untouched after launch.
